Important notes :

Here I am listing notes that might be useful for those who are coming to Egypt and as I remember new notes I'll keep it updated.

- Egyptians are in general very friendly people, so don't be surprised when they ask you if you were married, what do you do for living?

- As I would always say a nice smile and Salaam (Hello) would work like magic with us (Egyptians).

- We are not used to have Blonds, very fair skin people walking among us and we love Children in Egypt so don't worry if a local is looking at your children and playing with them as long as you see it in a nice safe way. and for blond women, girls you'll get more attention among the locals so if they are staring at you as if they are checking you out, it actually just goes back to the point that we don't have much blonds walking around.

- When using rest rooms-toilets try to carry small notes  on you (5-10 Egyptian pounds notes/coins) because at times people standing outside or inside would give you soap , towel or tissues but there are certain Rest rooms on sites that you will need to buy a ticket to use.

- Vendors around the sites can be pushy and really persistent and the easiest way to avoid them is to try and avoid the Eye contact with them or using (La Shoukran) No thanks.

- If you are feeling sick and not sure why cause at times it's the heat Or a drink that you might have had , so try to find a pharmacy and buy "Antinal" which really comes in handy in such cases and take 2 pills as a start.

- If you are getting a taxi, try to set the price before you are in the Taxi and it would be easier if you would ask someone at the hotel Or your guide to write it in Arabic to make sure that the taxi driver knows where to go cause at times they would say I had to drive longer cause I didn't knew.

- When eating out and trying Green Salads, ask the waiter for a lemon and squeeze it on top cause the Citric acid would clean anything.

- The locals might ask if it's OK to take a photo with you and it's your personal choice to say yes or no but if you are a couple so try to do the photos together with them and if you are a single female and if it's a group of young men so you might get in a situation where they might put their arms around you or on your shoulder so you can simply remove their hands .and the reason is ,they are not used to foreigners around them much and it's a chance for them to take a photo with one.

- If you want to take their photo do the same ask them first, cause few wouldn't want their photos taken.

- If you are lost or need to get directions and asking any of the Locals so they will get that extra mile to make sure that you are there and at times they might even walk you to the place and don't offer them money cause 90% of the time , they would say no it's ok.

- Crossing the streets is challenging for you so the most safe way is to cross with locals or ask one of the Traffic police men to help you, keeping in mind that once you made up your mind to cross just cross don't Hesitate.

- Police men are always in uniforms but at times you'll see people wearing suites or just pants and shirts with guns and they are just police escorts or undercover police.
